Our facility in Manila, Philippines has been operating since 1996 with key functions in Design and Development, Engineering, Manufacturing and other disciplines. This site specializes in product design, process development and mass production of Photodiodes, Photodiode Arrays and High-Performance Sensors. These product technologies are primarily for LiDAR applications such as autonomous vehicles and range finding, as well as safety and security applications including smoke detection and luggage scanning.
We are presently seeking for General Accountant (Liabilities) who shall be responsible for half of the closing activities of the site.
Main Responsibilities:
I. General Ledger Accounting
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts using SAP.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing processes (FI-GL).
- Post journal entries (manual and recurring) with appropriate documentation.
- Ensure accuracy of financial records and compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
II. Account Reconciliations
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations of liablities and all company obligations.
- Investigate and resolve variances in a timely manner.
- Discuss and highlight issues with site accounting lead on a timely manner.
III. Audit & Compliance
- Support respective sites for internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls, corporate policies, and internal procedures.
IV. Continuous Improvement
- Participate in process standardization and automation initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
V. Local regulatory compliance
- PEZA reporting requirements.
- BIR reporting requirements
Requirements:
- Graduate of Accounting degree or its equivalent.
- At least 5 years relevant experience in the general accounting and financial reporting .
- With acquired work experience in a PEZA manufacturing environment.
- Knowledgeable in BIR and other regulatory compliance.
- Shared service experience is a plus
- Has strong working knowledge of ERP systems, SAP (FI module) is preferred.
- With good understanding and application of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP).
- Proficient in MS Excel and financial reporting tools (One Stream).
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, responsible and professional in dealing.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Team player and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
