We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven General Accountant to support key financial functions across accounts payable, banking, and cash reconciliation. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and a passion for improving processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Oversight:
- Manage the final stage of invoice processing for venue teams, ensuring accurate coding of Cost of Goods Sold and timely posting of invoices.
- Collaborate with venue leaders to maintain consistent workflows and reduce end-of-month bottlenecks.
Daily Banking:
- Perform rigorous daily bank reconciliations using Microsoft Business Central.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions, maintaining strict compliance with internal controls and reconciliation standards.
Cash Reconciliation:
- Monitor and validate daily cash schedules from venues. Ensure EON reports are completed accurately and coded to the correct general ledger accounts.
- Engage with venue leaders to resolve discrepancies and improve compliance.
Ad Hoc Financial Tasks:
- Support various finance-related tasks as needed, including data entry, reporting, and assisting with client-specific requests. Provide recommendations for process improvements and contribute to the overall efficiency of financial operations.
Work Environment:
This role involves regular interaction with venue teams and requires a high level of maturity, reliability, and ownership. The ideal candidate enjoys working with numbers, thrives in structured environments, and is motivated to improve financial processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA qualification is a plus but not required).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping and reconciliations.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Business Central and Xero.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and solving issues.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy
