The GSD Officer is responsible for managing the school’s property and equipment by overseeing maintenance activities and implementing a regular preventive maintenance program. This role also acts as the Branch Safety Officer, tasked with implementing the school’s safety program, and as the Pollution Control Officer, responsible for submitting regular environmental monitoring reports (e.g., SMR, CMR) to ensure compliance with relevant environmental laws.
Additionally, the GSD Officer coordinates logistical arrangements for school events, supervises and develops staff, and oversees the Administrative and Property Services, as well as the Budget and Resource Management functions of the school.
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technical Course or possesses a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in School Building Maintenance and Facilities Management.
- With Industry experience in the following sectors: Education, Real Estate,
- Facility/Property Management is desirable. Ideally with background in Occupational Safety & Health Standards
- Preferably holding a Safety Officer 2 (SO2) BOSH Certification.
- Previous working experience as a Pollution Control Officer and familiarity with environmental laws and permit processing is an advantage.
