We are looking for a collections officer to assist with the collection of outstanding debts. The collections officer will contact clients and inform them of their debts, negotiate payment plans, and ensure payments are made as soon as possible. You may also be required to institute legal action when payments are not made.
To ensure success as a collections officer, you should have excellent communication, negotiation, and mathematical skills, as well as attention to detail. A skilled Collections Officer should be able to reduce company losses by encouraging customers to pay their overdue bills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement collection strategies to maximize recovery of outstanding debts.
- Lead and supervise the collections team, providing guidance and support.
- Monitor and analyze collections performance metrics, making adjustments as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements with clients and external partners.
- Maintain accurate records of all collections activities and communications.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing disputes and customer service issues.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the collections department.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on collections performance and challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior collections role, preferably in a similar industry.
- With solid experience in the management, disposal, and documentation of ROPOAs (Real and Other Properties Owned or Acquired)
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and debt recovery processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Outstanding negotiation and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and act on collections data.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php40,000.00 per month
