Job Description
The Head of Planning and Execution is responsible for leading the creation / update of the strategy of Globe Business (B2B) and ensuring the execution of the business’s strategy.. This involves leading the function that spearheads the annual planning activities and quarterly strategy reviews. This role also ensures the execution of the plans by providing strategic advisory to different divisions and by leading the the program management function of the B2B business.
DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
Strategy Planning
- Spearheads the annual strategy planning and quarterly strategy reviews
- Co-leads the creation of the Balanced Scorecards
- Provides market competitive intelligence that aid management decision-making
Strategy Advisory
- Leads the function that provides strategic advisory projects that aim to solve specific problems, help the business capture opportunities and / or improve the internal ways-of-working
- Provide ad hoc studies that are requested by various B2B divisions to aid decision-making
Strategy Execution
- Leads the program management office / PMO
- Synthesizes the project portfolio of the B2B business, which includes prioritizing projects, ensuring projects and their KPIs are linked to the overall strategy and identifying interdependencies
- Ensures the program governance structure of the business is updated
- Drives the implementation of best practices in project management across the business
- Updates the Head of SMBI on the progress, risks and support needed of B2B projects
Governance
- Prepares periodic governance reports or reports requested by top management
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 7 or more years of experience in a strategy and project governance role
- Has the ability manage stakeholders (including management) and a team
- Has a proven track record in strategy and project governance
- An advanced level of knowledge in financial analysis is an advantage
- A Bachelor’s degree in any business-related degree is a minimum and a Masters’ degree in any business-related degree is an advantage
