The Payroll Specialist is responsible for performing end-to-end payroll processing for a high-volume employee base (1,500 employees and above), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in compensation, statutory reporting, and timekeeping. The role requires proficiency in payroll systems, government reporting, and modern digital tools. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, tech-savvy, and innovative, with a drive to contribute fresh ideas, process automation, and improvements aligned with current AI trends.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
1. Payroll Processing:
Perform complete and accurate end-to-end payroll processing (semi-monthly), including computation of basic pay, overtime, holiday pay, night differentials, allowances, deductions, and final pay.
Review and validate timesheets, shift schedules, and timekeeping data from HRIS or biometric systems.
2. Timekeeping and HRIS Management:
Maintain, audit, and troubleshoot issues in the timekeeping system and employee work schedule logs. Navigate and support various HRIS and biometric tools, ensuring clean integration with payroll systems.
3. Government Reporting and Statutory Compliance:
Prepare and submit accurate monthly statutory contributions and loan reports for SSS, PagIBIG, and PhilHealth.
Ensure timely remittance of government-mandated deductions, contributions, and loan amortizations. Support audits and compliance checks related to DOLE, BIR, and other regulatory agencies.
4. Data Management & Reporting:
Generate and analyze payroll reports, journal entries, and cost allocation summaries. Assist in preparing payroll analytics and metrics for management review.
5. Automation & Innovation: Propose and pilot automation tools or enhancements to streamline payroll and timekeeping processes.
Contribute fresh ideas related to AI integrations or third-party apps that can enhance efficiency and accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, Financial Management, Management Accounting, Human Resource Management, or any related course.
Work Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years solid experience in full cycle payroll processing and timekeeping, preferably in companies with 1,500+ employees. Exposure to BPO or multi-shift setups is a plus.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel – PivotTables, VLOOKUP, formulas, PowerPoint presentations, Word for documentation). Hands-on experience with HRIS, timekeeping systems, and payroll software. knowledge in statutory reporting portals (SSS R3/R5, Pag-IBIG e-Services, PhilHealth EPRS). Competencies: o Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. o Highly analytical, resourceful, and process oriented. o Willing to work onsite daily and meet tight deadlines. o Strong sense of confidentiality and compliance with data privacy protocols. o Proactive in bringing up new tech-driven ideas, AI tools, or apps that improve payroll operations.
