Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inpatient Medical Coder to join our Health Information Management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inpatient coding, a solid understanding of medical terminology and disease processes, and the ability to ensure accurate and compliant coding for inpatient records based on official coding guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of a medical allied course (e.g., Nursing, Medical Technology, Physical Therapy, etc.)
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time inpatient coding experience
- OR
- Minimum of 1 year and 6 months of inpatient coding experience plus 6 months of formal coding training

Strong knowledge of:
- Inpatient coding guidelines
- ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding systems
- DRG assignment methodologies
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in code assignment.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and coding software tools is an advantage.
- Must hold a valid medical coding license/certification (CCS/CIC)
