Job Summary:
Responsible for accounting activities within the organization. Assignments include maintaining journals and ledgers and preparing financial statements and reports. Duties include reviewing and approving transactions, posting entries, collecting and evaluating data, conducting analysis, and preparing reports and recommendations. To ensure that inventory is recorded and reported correctly, timely and compliant with US GAAP and statutory requirement.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Performs inventory accounting and period close tasks, such as creating manual journal entries, performing inventory reconciliation, and flux analysis.
- Oversees the physical inventory process and ensures compliance to external / internal audit requirements.
- Performs inventory/material cost variance analysis.
- Ensures inventory control procedures are performed in compliance with US GAAP or country statutory requirements and Lexmark policies.
- Works with cross-functional teams to enhance inventory control procedures.
- Assists in audits related to inventory and provides necessary documentation or information to internal/external auditors.
- Performs user acceptance testing (UAT) on SAP system upgrades, where applicable.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement in inventory management/accounting and implement efficiency measures.
Experience, Skills and Competencies:
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or Management Accounting. Certified Public Accountant license holder is an advantage.
- At least 3 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 1 year of general ledger, financial analysis or cost accounting experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel, SAP systems, and business reporting tools is preferred.
- Good analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
