The IT Officer / Data Officer is responsible for managing the firm’s information technology systems, safeguarding data security, and ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software, and network resources. The role also covers data management, including organizing, securing, and maintaining client and case-related information in compliance with confidentiality standards and data privacy laws.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Install, configure, and maintain the firm's IT system, hardware, and software.
● Manage data storage, backup, and recovery processes to ensure the integrity and security of legal records.
● Provide technical support to lawyers, paralegals, and staff for IT-related issues.
● Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to safeguard sensitive client information.
● Maintain and update the firm's case management and document management systems.
● Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal confidentiality protocols.
● Prepare reports on system performance, data usage, and IT-related risks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
● At least 2-3 years of experience in IT support or data management.
● Knowledge of data security, backup system and privacy compliance.
● Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
● Strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
● Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
