- Performs research and development on assigned projects.
- Conducts research on literature and relevant concepts pertaining to project at hand.
- Develops a method of testing/evaluation to measure the effects predicted or results needed.
- Document the results and interpret it to be able to come up with reasonable steps to execute.
- Be resourceful in finding materials for R&D projects.
- Set plans and timetable for R&D projects and able to document the same.
- Conducts observations and gathers all pertinent data related to experiments.
- Ensures the accurate, timely and comprehensive recording of all test results in pertinent form.
- Maintains proper use of the laboratory's equipment and machines by conducting daily machine inspection and reporting immediately any equipment or machine malfunction for the necessary repair/correction; Maintain the laboratory's cleanliness, orderliness and security as well.
- Responsible/accountable for all assets/equipment assigned to and/or used by him/her.
- Actively participates in division’s drive to maintain its ISO 9001:2008 quality certification.
- Brings to his/her superior's immediate attention any incident, issue, problem which requires attention/resolution
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of Chemistry from a reputable university or other related courses (Chemical Engineer)
- Registered Chemical Technician
- At least two (2) years of relevant laboratory experience in a manufacturing company, preferably engaged in plastics compounding.
- Research & Development experience is an advantage
- With working knowledge of ISO 9001/ 5S
- Can work under tight time pressure with minimal supervision
- Willing to extend working hours, if necessary
- Willing to work in Guiguinto, Bulacan
