About the Role
As a Senior Paralegal / Junior Legal Counsel within the Legal & Compliance team, you will provide essential legal support by assisting with corporate documentation, legal research, regulatory compliance, and various legal matters essential to MoneyHero Group’s operations.
Working in an international, fast-paced, and innovative environment, you will have the opportunity to develop your legal skills while gaining insight into how a technology-driven company operates in the consumer finance sector. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, possesses strong work ethics and problem-solving skills, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior lawyers in reviewing NDA and mandates for business projects; prepare standard legal commercial documents, including contracts with suppliers, customers, contractors; handle routine legal matters.
- Maintain and update contract templates, terms and conditions, policies and procedures, and contribute to legal know-how and training materials.
- Manage company secretarial duties, including drafting and maintaining proper corporate records, minutes, and resolutions for multiple entities with minimum supervision.
- Assist in preparing and filing corporate documents with local authorities such as the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Insurance Commission to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with internal business teams to address ad hoc legal and compliance queries across a range of areas including employment/HR, data protection, intellectual property (e.g., trademarks), consumer protection, insurance and financial regulations, and corporate governance.
- Coordinate with external legal counsels and corporate secretaries as needed.
- Organise and manage legal documents; handle information requests from regulators, service providers (e.g., banks, auditors), investors, etc.
In this role, we are looking for someone with:
- A bachelor’s degree in Law (e.g., LLB, BCL), or alternatively in Political Science, Legal Management, or related fields with strong academic results. For the Junior Legal Counsel role, candidates must be qualified lawyers with at least 1-3 post-qualification experience.
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in a legal support role (paralegal / legal executive) or legal advisory role (legal counsel) either in private practice or in-house, preferably with solid exposure to digital marketing or fintech sectors.
- Strong understanding of employment law, litigation, commercial law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance in the Philippines.
- Excellent communication and drafting skills.
- Business level of fluency in spoken and written English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proven contract management experience.
- A keen interest in technology and fintech industries.
