Job Summary:
The Land Acquisition Officer is responsible for identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and securing land for development projects. This role involves conducting due diligence, managing land acquisition processes, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential land acquisition opportunities for development.
- Conduct market research and feasibility studies to assess the value and suitability of land.
- Negotiate with landowners, brokers, and local government units (LGUs) to secure land at favorable terms.
- Handle legal documentation, contracts, and agreements related to land purchases.
- Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, and legal teams to conduct due diligence.
- Ensure compliance with local zoning laws, environmental regulations, and other land acquisition requirements.
- Prepare and submit necessary permits, applications, and reports to government agencies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including LGUs, government agencies, and private landowners.
- Monitor and resolve any issues or disputes related to land acquisition.
- Keep records of all land transactions, agreements, and legal documents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate Management, Business Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- At least 2–5 years of experience in land acquisition, real estate, or property development.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of local land laws, zoning regulations, and property valuation methods.
- Ability to conduct site inspections and assess land potential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and real estate management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel and work in the field as needed.
