Job Summary
Join a high-performance logistics team that specializes in mission-critical international freight. As a Logistics Operator, you’ll take full ownership of shipments across all modes — air, ocean, and ground — from quote to delivery. This role demands precision, urgency, and cross-functional coordination using platforms like CargoWise. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, value accountability with autonomy, and bring both expertise and empathy to every transaction, this is your lane to run.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end international shipments (air, ocean, ground – import/export).
- Operate directly in CargoWise using accurate status milestones (HAWB Created, Booked, RCF, DEP, ARR, AWR, POD).
- Coordinate customs clearance processes including ISF, AES, document filing, and broker communication.
- Issue and distribute Arrival Notices, Delivery Orders, and final documentation.
- Track every custody transfer and proactively escalate any delays or risks.
- Generate quotes with limited data using rate-per-kilo, routing estimates, and other creative methods.
- Invoice within 48 hours of POD while capturing all additional charges to protect margin.
- Support SOP documentation, team knowledge sharing, and automation initiatives.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Minimum 3 years of international freight experience — across all transport modes or willing to learn.
- Strong working knowledge of CargoWise or equivalent logistics platforms.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Able to operate independently with accountability, while aligning closely with the team.
- Strong interpersonal skills; treats all stakeholders with professionalism and respect.
- Self-motivated, growth-oriented, and eager to contribute.
- Ability to work US hours, with flexibility once independently working in the role dependent on client preferences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cross-functional logistics experience (air, ocean, ground, import/export).
- Background in mission-critical or time-sensitive shipment environments.
- Familiarity with automation tools or logistics process improvement initiatives.
