Job description
- Notify shipping companies about delay in arrival time or other issues that may impact delivery times.
- Coordinating freight shipments using computer programs that keep track of details, such as weight, volume, and destination location.
- Coordinating the shipping of goods by sea, truck, rail, or air, as well as arranging for customs clearance procedure when required.
- Coordinating with insurance companies to obtain new policies or make claims when appropriate.
- Using computer software to calculate rates based on distance, weight, and other factors for each shipment
- Maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments including dates, contents, and destinations.
- Processing purchase orders for materials needed to manufacture products.
- Ship orders via USPS, FedEx, and DHL shipping software.
- Process all paperwork for delivery tickets or BOL's on incoming deliveries.
- Generating of Commercial Invoice/Packing List of every shipment.
Qualifications:
- At least one (1) year experience in freight forwarding
- Can communicated in English
- At least one (1) year experience in procurement
- College graduate
- Efficient documentation
- Can work under pressure
