Purpose of the Position:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Workshop Maintenance Superintendent is accountable and responsible for the cost-efficient, timely, and effective implementation of the repair and maintenance program of all heavy and support equipment inside the MSA Workshop.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan, monitor, organize and initiate the Daily Work Schedule program of equipment repair and maintenance at the workshop in line with the operational requirements
- Supervise manpower scheduling, including workshop supervisors on priority works, workload distribution, and space allocation for the effective control of workload programs and monitoring during repair of equipment including standard man-hours as per the scope of works
- Lead the teardown and survey of breakdown equipment and initiate parts requisition in coordination with the Maintenance Planner, Workshop Supervisors, and the Maintenance Manager based on the manufacturer’s parts book
- Check and supervise the correct usage of tools and machines during work execution and recommend other essential tools needed to expedite the immediate repair of equipment in a precise, timely, and safe manner
- Review with subordinates the information supplied on the job orders to determine inspection and control points.
- Review maintenance job that has been studied to establish a standard maintenance practice
- Conduct daily inspection of equipment repair on the process and waiting for parts to determine parts and components status that needs follow-up with the Maintenance Planner
- Review work schedule, manpower compliments, and parts availability and prioritize equipment on the breakdown that needs immediate repair and replacement
- Conduct equipment performance test through technical analysis, move and test all equipment with repair completion before release in coordination with the H.E. coordinator
- Lead and supervise all related equipment repair work at the workshop including electrical, welding, and fabrication works to ensure that required repairs are carried out promptly
- Adhere to the company safety and environment policy and procedure including proper housekeeping and disposal of used and replaced parts, materials, and sub-components including oil spillage and preparation of required safety permit
- Performed other related duties as may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- B.S. Mechanical Engineering graduate with PRC license an advantage
- With at least five (5) years of related work experience in Heavy Equipment Repair and Maintenance; in a supervisory capacity.
- Knowledgeable in Equipment and Personnel Allocation Plan and Scheduling.
- High level of interpersonal skills and communication skills;
- Reliable with zest and acumen towards work meeting deadlines and targets under pressure.
- Team player, pro-active, results-oriented, resourceful, and can command the respect of his peers and subordinate.
Willing to work in Teresa, Rizal.
