Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated Management Trainee to join our diner operations team. The successful candidate will undergo comprehensive training and gradually take on responsibilities in managing daily operations, supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting the Restaurant Manager in achieving business goals. This role is designed to prepare the candidate for a future leadership position within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing daily diner operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and quality control.
- Ensure excellent customer service and address customer feedback in a professional manner.
- Support in training, mentoring, and supervising staff to foster a productive and positive work environment.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales and expenses, and implement strategies to optimize profitability.
- Enforce company policies, health, and safety regulations.
- Oversee stock levels, supplier coordination, and purchasing activities.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets and operational goals.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Act as Officer-in-Charge in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration (Operations, Marketing, or Management), or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in restaurant management or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership potential with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in financial management and budgeting.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Customer service-oriented with strong commercial awareness.
