Marketing and Operations Officer (Team Leader)
Position Overview:
The Marketing and Operations Officer (MOO) will serve as the Team Leader of the branch, overseeing the marketing and operational functions while leading a team to ensure efficiency, customer satisfaction, and achievement of sales targets. The MOO will be responsible for coordinating and managing the branch’s daily operations, driving marketing initiatives, and motivating the team to deliver excellent results.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
Branch Team Leadership:
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the Marketing and Operations Associate (MOA) and Technical staff to ensure they meet branch goals.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment to encourage teamwork and accountability.
- Provide ongoing training, mentoring, and performance evaluations for the team to enhance skills and productivity.
- Set clear expectations for staff performance and offer feedback for improvement.
- Act as the point of contact for team concerns, resolve conflicts, and address operational challenges.
Set and Monitor Team Goals:
- Establish individual and team targets related to marketing initiatives, sales, and operational efficiency.
- Track and monitor progress towards goals, making adjustments as necessary.
- Regularly communicate with team members to ensure alignment with branch objectives.
Marketing Duties:
Develop and Execute Marketing Strategies:
- Design and implement marketing campaigns to drive customer traffic, brand awareness, and sales.
- Oversee promotional events, product launches, and advertising efforts to maximize the branch’s market presence.
- Coordinate with the head office for aligned marketing initiatives across regions.
- Track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed to meet branch sales goals.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
- Lead efforts in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and loyalty.
- Address customer inquiries or concerns directly and ensure issues are resolved quickly.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct regular research on local market trends, competitors, and customer preferences.
- Analyze data to inform marketing strategies and improve sales performance.
Operations Duties:
Branch Operations Oversight:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring smooth running of processes, inventory management, and customer service.
- Implement and enforce operational procedures to increase efficiency and minimize errors.
- Manage inventory control, purchasing, and logistics to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
Sales Target Management:
- Ensure the sales team meets monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Motivate and guide the team to improve sales performance, customer conversion rates, and product knowledge.
- Collaborate with technical staff to ensure accurate and timely product installations and services.
Operational Budget Management:
- Oversee and manage the branch's operational budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies are implemented.
- Monitor expenses, and optimize resource allocation while maintaining profitability.
Administrative and Reporting Responsibilities:
Sales and Operational Reporting:
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, marketing results, and operational activities to the Branch Manager or Head Office.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to guide decision-making.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure the branch complies with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards.
- Oversee the accurate documentation of sales, inventory, and financial transactions.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Additional certifications or training in management or operations are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or operations in a leadership role, preferably in retail or finance-related industries.
- Proven experience in managing a team and driving operational efficiency.
Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with CRM, POS, and marketing tools.
- Ability to think strategically and analyze data for decision-making.
