Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision & Leadership:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of mechanical maintenance technicians.
- Delegate tasks and ensure timely completion of maintenance work.
- Conduct team meetings, toolbox talks, and performance reviews.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutions.
- Ensure prompt response to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct safety inspections and audits of mechanical systems.
- Maintain documentation related to safety and maintenance procedures.
- Planning & Reporting:
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams for maintenance scheduling.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and work orders.
- Monitor inventory of mechanical spare parts and requisition supplies as needed.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Recommend upgrades or modifications to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for recurring issues.
- Contribute to lean manufacturing, TPM, and reliability-centered maintenance initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- 1+ years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings, P&IDs, and schematics.
- Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
