Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacy Instructor to join our team. The Pharmacy Instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in various aspects of pharmacy practice, including pharmacology, pharmaceutical calculations, compounding, medication therapy management, and pharmacy law and ethics.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lectures, presentations, and hands-on laboratory exercises in pharmacy-related subjects.
- Design and implement effective instructional materials, assessments, and learning activities to facilitate student learning and skill development.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to pharmacy students, including advising on academic and professional matters.
- Stay current with developments in pharmacy practice, regulations, and technologies, and integrate relevant updates into the curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and collaboration among students.
- Assess student progress and performance through assignments, exams, and other evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support student growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the pharmacy program curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness and stay abreast of best practices in pharmacy education.
- Contribute to the overall mission and goals of the institution through service on committees, engagement with professional organizations, and other activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Active pharmacy license in good standing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students.
- Demonstrated teaching ability, with experience developing and delivering instructional materials.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in pharmacy education.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Masters degree (is a plus)
