- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy
- Must have passed the Philippine Board Licensure Examination for Physical Therapists (PRC licensed).
- Experience in a hospital, rehabilitation center, or clinical setting is an advantage but not always required for entry-level positions.
JOB DESCRIPTION
A Physical Therapist (PT) in a Philippine hospital is responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' physical conditions and functional limitations through physical examination and diagnostic testing.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Administer physical therapy interventions (e.g., therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy).
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and rehabilitation goals.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatments as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to hospital documentation standards.
- Ensure safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Participate in hospital health programs and community rehabilitation outreach when needed.
- Stay updated with current trends and best practices in physical therapy.
