We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Planning Manager to join our client's team in the renewable energy sector (hydropower project). In this role, you will lead the planning and scheduling function across complex projects, tenders, or a portfolio of programs. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules, aligning work breakdown structures (WBS), ensuring adherence to project control standards, and driving performance to meet time, cost, and quality objectives. You will oversee the creation of resource- and cost-loaded baselines, lead schedule updates, and provide expert analysis to support risk, change, and cost control efforts. As a key member of multidisciplinary teams, you will apply advanced planning and scheduling methodologies, advise on corrective actions, and support reporting through insightful data analysis and trend identification. You will also manage and mentor a team of planning professionals, fostering collaboration with stakeholders and contributing to the continuous improvement of project controls processes, including earned value management (EVM) and integrated reporting. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; certifications in Project Controls or Planning (e.g., PMI-SP, AACE PSP) are highly desirable.
- Strong competence and proven ability in Planning and Schedule Management, with extensive experience using Primavera P6 to develop, monitor, and control complex project schedules.
- Demonstrated success in supporting large-scale projects or programs, with a deep understanding of project lifecycle phases and interdependencies.
- Proven facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to lead planning workshops and clearly communicate scheduling insights to diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience working across multidisciplinary teams and supporting integrated project controls functions including cost, risk, and change management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and analytical mindset to identify risks, propose mitigation strategies, and support informed decision-making.
