Procurement Officer – Food Industry

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Source and Secure High-Quality Ingredients: Identify and build relationships with reliable suppliers to ensure consistent delivery of safe, high-quality, and cost-effective food products and raw materials.
Negotiate Competitive Terms: Strategically negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms to maximize value without compromising quality, helping to boost overall profitability.
Manage Inventory Efficiently: Monitor stock levels and coordinate with kitchen or production teams to avoid shortages or overstocking—ensuring smooth operations and minimizing food waste.
Ensure Compliance with Food Safety Standards: Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to uphold compliance with national food safety regulations and internal quality standards.
Analyze Market Trends: Stay updated on market conditions and seasonal availability to make proactive purchasing decisions that align with consumer demand and cost efficiency.
Optimize Supply Chain Performance: Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to ensure timely deliveries, reduce lead times, and support overall operational goals.
Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with finance, kitchen/production, and warehouse teams to ensure that procurement strategies align with business goals and customer satisfaction.
