About the role
The production supervisor is responsible for ensuring the team has an understanding of and motivation to achieve the set goals and expectations.
The role will ensure that they regularly encourage and support the worker to achieve the set goals and provide a safe and productive environment. This will ensure the worker is able to complete work on time, in full, to standard.
Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:
Essential:
- Graduate of any relevant course or degree
- Trade course is an advantage.
- At least 3 years experience in trade-specific shipbuilding.
- Hands-on technical know-how in trade-specific drawing interpretation.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong Planning & Organizing Skills
- Computer Literate (MS Office applications)
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Works well under pressure and meets deadlines.
- Proven leadership and management abilities.
Desirable:
- Knowledgeable in Occupational Health & Safety including First Aid.
- Good mathematical skills.
- Relevant Licenses or certifications
- Effective communication skills – written and spoken
