Job Description
Job Summary:
The Project Coordinator will support the management and coordination of technical and logistical aspects of fiber optic construction projects—including Micro Trenching, Bore, Restoration, and Fiber Installation—ensuring successful execution from planning through completion. This role acts as an operational extension of Project Managers and Superintendents, helping to drive projects forward efficiently while maintaining quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily execution of fiber deployment projects: micro trenching, directional boring, conduit installation, fiber pulls/splicing, and restoration.
- Coordinate activities between field crews, subcontractors, engineers, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Build and manage detailed project schedules.
- Monitor milestones and ensure field teams are aligned to timelines.
- Track daily/weekly progress and identify potential delays early.
- Maintain accurate records: fiber routing plans, permits, construction drawings, and daily updates.
- Provide regular reports to Project Managers and leadership.
- Serve as a key point of contact for vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve on-the-ground issues to avoid project slowdowns.
Qualifications
- 4-6 years of experience in fiber construction deployment, telecom project coordination, or related fieldwork.
- Proven ability to build and manage schedules, coordinate field work, and support day-to-day construction activities.
- Familiarity with Fiber installation standards, Micro trenching & bore methods, Restoration best practices, Utility permitting & inspections
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and project tracking tools.
- Experience supporting or working with US-based teams is a plus.
