Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Permits Supervisors and Lead Specialists in managing contracts for securing of environmental permits, certificates and clearances for NGCP projects
- Assist in the planning, coordination, application, securing and monitoring of project environmental and construction permits in compliance to laws and regulations, and perform other project permits related activities and administrative tasks Specific Responsibilities:
1. Contract Management Provides support in preparing bid documents, managing contracts for securing of environmental permits, organizing contract related files and monitoring progress and deliverables until full completion of works by Service Providers
2. Compliance to Environmental Laws and Regulations Ensures that environmental permits and certificates such as Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC), Special Tree Cutting Permit (STCP), Permit to Cut Coconut (PCC), Special Land Use Permit (SLUP), Forest Land Use Agreement (FLAg), Special Agreement on Use of Protected Areas (SAPA), Foreshore Lease Agreement and DOH Clearance and other required environmental permits, agreements and clearances are secured before implementation of NGCP's power transmission projects
3. Monitoring Application and Securing of Construction Permits
4. Ensures that project permits related and administrative activities are implemented
Qualifications:
- College Degree Holder in Forestry / Environmental Science / Biology / Marine Biology / other Natural Science Course
- Preferably a Licensed Forester, Registered Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Preparer, or Licensed SCUBA diver
- One (1) year experience. Those lacking experience can be considered subject to passing of interview and technical exam • Must be computer literate and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) • Good oral / written communication skills
- Ability to travel and perform fieldwork. Fieldwork consists of activities undertaken on varied terrestrial and marine environment requiring physical fitness to undertake walking, trekking and SCUBA diving • Interface with various groups is frequently undertaken, thus good communication and social interaction skills are required
