Key Responsibilities
- Analyze purchasing data to forecast inventory needs and support procurement decisions
- Develop and implement cost-effective purchasing strategies
- Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and service
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure stock accuracy and availability
- Reconcile purchase orders with inventory receipts and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities, cost analysis, and supplier performance
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations
- Support cross-functional collaboration with logistics, finance, and operations teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in purchasing and inventory management, preferably in a distribution or logistics setting
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
