Job Summary:
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement activities of Limketkai Sons, Inc. This includes planning, sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring goods, services, and supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner. The role ensures all purchases align with company policies and operational requirements while building and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with mall operational needs and budgetary goals.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to ensure competitive procurement.
- Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure high-quality goods and services at optimal terms.
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure continuous supply and prompt resolution of issues.
- Purchasing Operations
- Supervise the preparation and processing of purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation.
- Ensure timely delivery of items and services based on mall maintenance, tenant needs, events, and administrative requirements.
- Compliance & Cost Control
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with internal control procedures, financial policies, and government regulations.
- Analyze purchasing data and prepare cost reports to ensure procurement efficiency and cost savings.
- Team Management
- Lead and mentor the purchasing team, ensuring task delegation, performance monitoring, and skills development.
- Coordinate with other departments including engineering, leasing, marketing, and admin for consolidated procurement needs.
- Inventory and Supplier Audits
- Work closely with warehouse/inventory personnel to ensure accurate stock levels and reorder schedules.
- Conduct periodic supplier evaluations and spot checks to safeguard quality and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a mall or retail environment.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of procurement systems, ERP software, and MS Office applications.
- Familiarity with procurement regulations and best practices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php45,000.00 - Php60,000.00 per month
