Job Summary:
The QA/QC Officer is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure that all products meet internal and external standards, including safety, legal compliance and customer expectations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining food safety, quality consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements throughout the production cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee product quality inspection and ensure standards are met throughout production.
- Develop and implement QA procedures and systems in accordance with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000).
- Monitor compliance with company and regulatory quality standards across all stages of food production.
- Conduct internal audits to evaluate and improve existing QA systems.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of raw materials, processes, and finished products.
- Establish Critical Control Points (CCPs) and validate food safety control measures.
- Train employees on quality and food safety procedures.
- Lead investigations of non-conformances, product complaints, and food safety incidents.
- Maintain certifications and facilitate external audits (e.g., DOH, FDA, BFAD, ISO).
- Collaborate with other departments (production, maintenance, warehouse) to uphold quality standards.
- Review and update QA policies regularly to meet current regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Technology or a related field.
- At least 2–5 years of experience in QA/QC roles, preferably in a manufacturing, food processing or industrial setting.
- Experience with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 22000), HACCP, or GMP is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of quality control procedures, testing methodologies and inspection techniques.
- Familiar with regulatory requirements relevant to the industry (e.g., FDA, DOH, BFAD, PEZA, etc.)
- Ability to analyze data and write technical reports.
