Job Summary:
The role of the Quality Assurance Associate is to ensure a smooth surgical experience by preparing requested or ordered instruments and/or implants according to company standards. They also ensure that all instrumentations used inside the operating room are checked for defects prior to dispatch to minimize—if not eliminate, the probability of encountering complications during surgery.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately and completely processes orders of instruments and/or implants coming from the Quality Assurance Officer.
- Operates the autoclave machine safely and properly according to standards.
- Cleans all instrumentations used after surgery.
- Performs preventive maintenance procedures of all machineries and/or equipment being used as needed.
- Properly inspects, documents, and reports returned instruments and checks for used/damaged/missing items.
- Ensures that all necessary documentations that come with the instruments and/or implants are complete and accurate.
- Properly maintains departmental records.
Qualifications and Standards:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering
- With at least one (1) year of relevant experience in the same role and/or industry.
- Ability to carry a load of at least 50kg.
- Quality Orientation, Stakeholder Management, Process Optimization, Product Knowledge
