OB DESCRIPTION
- Plans, organizes, and controls the operations and activities of the work unit; prepares and secures approval of the budget in support of such operations and activities.
- Provides for adequate orientation and training, and ongoing competency of hospital clinical staff to policies and procedures.
- Coordinates clinical staff meetings and continuing education/in-service activities in conjunction with the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Nursing Officer
- Oversees team in the surveillance, prevention and control of infection. Educates staff on the implementation of infection control measures and new recommendations.
- Coordinates clinical compliance to licensure and healthcare, legal, hospital, government and/or regulatory standards.
- Assists the Chief Executive Officer in formulating policies, systems and processes in the hospital to ensure high quality standards of patient care and safety.
- Prepares weekly planner on activities to be undertaken and prepares reports on actual results, outputs and accomplishments based on plans at the end of the week; consolidates accomplishments reports into monthly performance reports.
- Attends training program and learning sessions, for the enhancement of the professional, technical, and personal proficiencies
- Performs other duties and responsibilities analogous, related to and/or implied from the above enumeration of duties and responsibilities or as assigned by an immediate superior, as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in any medical related field
- Five (5) years of proven experience in quality management, statistical measurement, analysis and research development
- Prior experience in a management or supervisorial role is a requirement
- Excellent knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and best practices
- With training in process improvement, root cause analysis, and Lean Six Sigma
- Experience with Accreditation (ACI, ISO, or JCI)
