Job Description
1. Strictly complies with the company policies, systems and procedures, work rules and regulations.
2. Actively participates in all Sika Philippines, Inc.’s projects regarding Quality, Environment, Health & Safety, and Sustainability, and fully supports and acts in accordance with the company policy.
3. Plans, coordinates, executes and monitors the timely equipment calibration for the whole Sika Philippines Inc.
- Ensure that all measuring equipment are logged in calibration register/plan.
- Ensure that all equipment being used in Operations, QC, R&D, Technical Services, and even Sales & Marketing have valid calibration.
- Ensure that calibration service providers are competent and/or certified to execute calibration thru valid and updated PAB certifications and/or equivalent.
- Raise Purchase requisition and ensure timely Purchase Order submittal to supplier.
- Collate calibration certificates, analyze results and update calibration log/plan.
- Ensure calibrated equipment have updated calibration stickers.
- Immediately report all “out of tolerance” and damage equipment to respective supervisor and manager for correction and/or replacement.
- Submit copy of updated calibration file to QA Manager for each successful calibration batch for four-eyes review.
4. Updates monthly QESH Board and coordinate information requirement to QC, Production and EHS department.
5. Act as Document Controller
- 5.1. Maintains and updates document master list for all Sika documents.
- 5.2. Ensures that no obsolete document/template is being used and/or in circulation within the organization.
- 5.3. Controls all documents, forms, records, templates and ensures timely and effective controlled distribution with proper markings.
- 5.4. Monitors SMS (Sika Management System) for documents due for review. Communicates with process owner to review and update the document as necessary.
- 5.5. Scan and upload document in SMS (Sika Management System)
- 5.6. Keep relevant employees updated on new document versions and how to obtain access.
- 5.7. Establish and maintain record retention timeline in coordination with process owners.
6. Support QESH Initiatives:
- 6.1. Prepares and submits all information, reports and records required.
- 6.2. Participates in supplier audits and internal ISO audits.
- 6.3. Assists in dealing with any customer complaint investigations or product issues.
- 6.4. Supports other department in providing technical information as referenced for this position.
- 6.5. Supports monitoring and maintenance of Safety Data Sheets (SDS):
- Ensures no printed obsolete SDS is being used/distributed in the plant.
- Encodes, monitors, and maintains SDS and Chemical list in coordination with QC-R&D.
- Supports creation of one-pager safety instructions from SDS.
- 6.6. Ensure timely reporting of hazard observations, near misses and incidents in Sphera or equivalent EHS reporting portal.
- 6.7. Ensure safe conduct of activities including that of contractors.
7. Deputy Functions: Support company’s business continuity by acting as deputy on the following tasks: Upon absence of QA Manager:
- 12.1. Collate data, analyze and submit QA reports to local and regional management which includes but not limited to: First Pass Rate, Quality cost, raw material and finished goods specs and trends, etc.
- 12.2. Plan, coordinate and execute Quality Day and other relevant corporate Quality events, trainings and programs.
- 12.3. Collate data, analyze, and submit internal ISO audit reports.
8. Performs other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate superior.
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of BS Chemistry, BS Chemical Technology, BS Laboratory Technician, BS Chemical Engineering, or related field. Preferably Licensed Chemical Technician/Chemist/Chemical Engineering
Work Experience:
- With at least two (2) years of related work experience in Quality Assurance, ISO and Document Control.
