- Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001, ISM Code, MARPOL, SOLAS, and other maritime regulations.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, classification societies, port state control, and flag state authorities for QMS-related matters.
- Develop, implement, and maintain QMS documentation including quality manuals, procedures, and forms specific to maritime operations.
- Coordinate internal audits and inspections on vessels and shore facilities; track non-conformities and ensure effective corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support Safety Management System (SMS) integration and alignment with QMS requirements.
- Organize and lead management reviews, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and report findings to senior leadership.
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization, including shipboard and shore-based teams.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints, incidents, and non-compliance cases.
- Ensure training and awareness of quality standards, procedures, and best practices for all personnel.
