Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and highly analytical individual to join our team as a Quantity Surveyor. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, quantity takeoff, and financial management for construction projects. Your primary objective will be to ensure accurate project costing, cost control, and maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct thorough cost estimation, quantity takeoff, and pricing analysis for construction projects.
· Prepare and submit detailed cost proposals, budgets, and tender documents.
· Evaluate and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to identify project requirements and scope.
· Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to clarify project details, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate cost planning.
· Monitor project costs throughout the construction lifecycle, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
· Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking costs, variations, and change orders.
· Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, verify quantities, and compare actual costs against estimated costs.
· Provide accurate and timely cost reports, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections to stakeholders.
· Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts, ensuring favorable terms and adherence to project specifications.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering possibilities, and recommend strategies to optimize project profitability.
· Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and pricing fluctuations to ensure competitive and accurate cost estimates.
· Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, financial regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or any related field.
· Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
· Proficiency in cost estimation, quantity takeoff, and pricing analysis using industry-standard software and tools.
· Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost factors.
· Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
· Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
· Sound understanding of contract administration and construction contracts.
· Familiarity with relevant financial regulations, cost management practices, and industry standards.
· Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
· Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt to changing project requirements.
