JOB OBJECTIVE
The quantity surveyor is responsible for all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. Surveyors seek to minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality and contract.
JOB Description
1.Preparing tender and contract documents, including bill of quantities.
2. Prepares cost analysis based on architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials required and labors.
3. Control all stages of projects within predetermined budget and expenditure.
4. Assisting in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies;
5. Monitor and keep track of projects progress and are responsible for the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract, agreement of interim payments and the final account.
6. Liaise with consultants/project team for the submission of variation order and its documentation.
7. Performing risk and value management and cost control;
8. Advising on procurement strategy, compare prices from different suppliers for materials.
9. Identifying, analysing and developing responses to costing for tenders and commercial risks;
10. Sourcing of suppliers and subcontractors with proper requirements;
11. Providing advice on contractual claims;
12. Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
13. Valuing completed work and arranging payments;
14. Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use;
15. Can work with multiple projects within simultaneous timeline.
16. Perform other task that may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
a. Preferred a licensed Civil Engineer.
b. Minimum 2 years experience in construction Industry/engineering.
c. Proficient in various engineering program applications such as, MS project, primavera, auto-cad, etc. and office programs – MS word, powerpoint, excel, etc.
d. Should possess above average communication skills.
e. Organized and goal and results oriented.
f. Trustworthy
g. Willingness to be assigned in different location of projects sites.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php25,000.00 per month
