We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Radiologic Technologist Instructor to join our educational team. As an instructor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of radiologic technologists. You will utilize your expertise in radiologic technology to provide high-quality instruction, mentorship, and guidance to students enrolled in our program. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of the field while fostering a positive learning environment for aspiring radiologic technologists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development: Develop and update instructional materials, lesson plans, and assessments to ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices in radiologic technology.
- Classroom Instruction: Deliver engaging lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on training sessions to educate students on topics such as radiographic procedures, patient care, radiation safety, and image interpretation.
- Laboratory Supervision: Oversee laboratory sessions to provide students with practical experience in operating radiographic equipment, positioning patients, and obtaining high-quality diagnostic images.
- Clinical Coordination: Coordinate clinical rotations for students at affiliated healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with program requirements and facilitating valuable hands-on learning experiences.
- Student Assessment: Evaluate student performance through examinations, projects, and clinical evaluations, providing constructive feedback and support to promote student success.
- Professional Development: Stay abreast of advancements in radiologic technology through continued education, participation in professional organizations, and engagement with industry colleagues.
- Mentorship: Serve as a mentor and advisor to students, offering guidance on academic and career-related matters and fostering a supportive learning environment conducive to student growth and development.
- Administrative Duties: Assist with program administration tasks such as student enrollment, program accreditation, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a radiologic technologist.
- Previous teaching experience in a formal educational setting, preferably in radiologic technology programs.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and healthcare professionals.
- Dedication to upholding ethical standards and promoting patient safety in radiologic practice.
