Job Summary: The Corporate Compliance Paralegal will assist the Corporate Compliance Officer and Corporate Compliance Supervisor in ensuring that the organization adheres to legal standards and internal policies. This role involves conducting compliance audits, maintaining records, and supporting the development and implementation of compliance programs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Compliance Monitoring:
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures. Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
2. Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain and organize compliance-related documents and records.
- Prepare and file necessary compliance reports and documentation with regulatory agencies.
- Assist in the preparation of compliance training materials and presentations.
3. Research and Analysis:
- Conduct legal research on compliance-related issues and regulations.
- Analyze changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization’s compliance obligations.
- Summarize findings and present recommendations to the Corporate Compliance Officer.
4. Communication and Coordination:
- Liaise with various departments to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Assist in the coordination of compliance training sessions for employees.
- Respond to inquiries regarding compliance matters from internal stakeholders.
5. Support in Investigations:
- Assist in internal investigations related to compliance violations or concerns.
- Document findings and prepare reports for management review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, Law Graduate or Paralegal Studies certification preferred
- Certification as a paralegal is preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a legal or compliance role.
- Strong understanding of corporate compliance regulations and practices.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
- Preferably candidate from Publicly listed corporation/FMCG Company and with solid experience in Corporate Compliance work- SEC and PSE compliance experience is a must and non-negotiable.
- DTI, FDA, DENR is a plus candidate with solid experience with the above compliance reporting even if not from a publicly listed company is acceptable.
