New Store Opening Restaurant General Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the successful launch and ongoing operations of our new restaurant location. This role requires a proven leader with deep industry knowledge, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. From pre-opening planning to team development and daily operations, you will be the driving force behind our store's success.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Opening Phase:
- Collaborate with the corporate team on timelines, vendor coordination, equipment installation, and store setup.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of the new restaurant team.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing requirements prior to opening.
- Create and implement pre-opening marketing and community outreach strategies.
- Develop operational playbooks, opening checklists, and training programs tailored to the new location.
Post-Opening Operations:
- Oversee daily operations to ensure high standards in service, food quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
- Manage budgets, labor costs, inventory, and P&L performance.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a diverse team to foster a high-performing culture.
- Implement and maintain operational policies and procedures.
- Handle guest concerns and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Build a strong, motivated team aligned with the restaurant’s culture and standards.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and support.
- Promote internal development and succession planning.
Sales & Community Engagement:
- Develop and execute local marketing initiatives to drive traffic and build brand loyalty.
- Establish strong community relationships and represent the brand at local events.
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a General Manager in a full-service or fast-casual restaurant.
- Proven track record of managing successful new store openings.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, cost control, and financial performance.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Food Safety Certification
