- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Support incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and documentation.
- Assist with safety training sessions for new hires and ongoing employee development.
- Maintain safety records, including training logs, inspection reports, and incident documentation.
- Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
