Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/College Degree in any field
- With at least less than a year of work-related experience
- Must have attended the mandated 40-hour DOLE - Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) training program and advanced training in the Loss Control Management (LCM)
- Training in Basic First Aid, Emergency Preparedness or any safety and health-related courses is considered an advantage
- Must have strong familiarization with the legal requirements and compliance of DOLE and other government enforcing agencies
- Certified SOIII
JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
- Prepares and creates policies, procedures, guidelines, and work instructions pertaining to Occupational Health and Safety following guidelines set by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) or local and international Occupational Safety & Heath (OSH) standards.
- Assists and advises department heads in the attainment of safety objectives, compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements, and resolution of problems through corrective & preventive action.
- Plans, audits and facilitates all occupational health and safety improvement programs. From time to time, conducts in-house training on occupational health and safety.
- Coordinates with the company physician all occupational safety and health activities of the hospital. Facilitates and oversees committee meetings.
- Conducts regular audits of procedures and policies on health and safety as implemented by various units in the hospital. Evaluates results and recommends preventive or corrective actions whenever necessary.
- Monitors and reports all incidents relative to health and safety of employees and patients.
- Conducts audit and submit reports using the assessment tools of DOLE, OSH, or other tools in compliance with the regulatory and statutory requirements of government.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities analogous, related to and/or implied from the above enumeration of duties and responsibilities or as assigned by an immediate superior, as necessary.
