The Sales Technician is responsible for assisting customers in selecting gadgets and electronic products, explaining technical features in simple terms, and providing basic troubleshooting or setup support. This role combines product knowledge, technical skill, and salesmanship to ensure customer satisfaction and meet sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in choosing gadgets, devices, or accessories
- Explain product features, specs, compatibility, and differences between models
- Provide basic technical support (e.g., phone setup, software installation, accessory pairing)
- Recommend suitable items based on customer needs and budget
- Demonstrate product usage and offer after-sales guidance
- Support upselling and cross-selling of gadgets and related items
- Keep display units updated, charged, and presentable
- Help with inventory checks and product tagging
- Report technical issues of demo units or returned products
- Maintain product knowledge by staying updated on the latest tech trends
Qualifications:
- At least high school graduate; preferably college level in IT, electronics, or any tech-related course
- With experience in sales, preferably in gadgets, tech, or electronics retail
- Good understanding of smartphones, tablets, laptops, accessories, and operating systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Tech-savvy and able to explain specs to non-technical customers
- Patient, approachable, and persuasive in handling inquiries
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays
- Team player and goal-oriented
