The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing all activities toward the procurement, storage and distribution of goods in line with the business manufacturing and delivery service expectations.
Working closely with other internal departments such as Planning, Purchasing and Sales Admin, they shall accurately appropriate information to ensure suitable on-time delivery of the correct materials to meet required manufacturing plans, enforce the required controls for accurate inventory accuracy and provided options for quality and value services for suitable delivery to customers.
4.1 Ensuring the Supply Chain purchase admin team order the correct materials in sufficient time to
meet the requirements of the manufacturing plan
4.2 Regularly reviews a dynamic supply chain position and seeks to determine suitable risk based
stocking and ordering policies to ensure adequate material availability at best possible price
without over-committing valuable cash assets
4.3 Develops an excellent procurement framework through suitable contract and supplier
management and by maintaining healthy and constructive relationships with vendors, third party
logistics companies and relevant local authorities, through frequent communication and
information sharing.
4.4 Frequently reviews and develops best practice for day to day operations within the logistics and
warehousing group toward adherence to strict inventory controls ensuring accurate stock within a
quality controlled environment.
4.5 Establishes best working practices to accurately analyze, deliver and monitor the use of free-issue
materials to sub-contract suppliers ensuring best possible accuracy.
4.6 Monitors and provides analysis of suppliers assessing their suitability to supply quality product on
time to the business requirements. Provides recommendations for change where appropriate
4.7 Constantly monitors logistic vendors’ delivery and price performance and provides comparisons
against latest market conditions to ensure the best value services are achieved.
4.8 Frequently engages with members of the Supply Chain team as well as any inputs from external
departments to better understand the capabilities, weaknesses and exposure of the group and
determines development of recruiting plans toward greater improvement.
4.9 Develops appropriate analytics, systems and data management capabilities including metrics and
Reports to provide transparent information to senior management about group performance.
4.10 Direct regulatory compliance related to supply chain management.
