Role Summary
Responsible for the more complex accounting and analytical activities and projects with minimal supervision. Responsible for financial accounting, reporting and taxation which are in conformity with rigorous standards for accuracy and timeliness required by the company and other external bodies. Must demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to research, resolve and communicate complex accounting or reporting issues as they arise is a requirement. Provides oversight on the various outsourced functions and provides/maintains regular reporting (on due diligence) of service providers.
Duties:
Responsible for the monthly closing and analysis of monthly financial results.
Prepares and reviews financial statements.
Responsible for specialized accounting areas within Corporate financial reporting (such as FX derivative accounting, equity-based compensation).
Responsible for the preparation and completion of all local tax filings.
Responsible for the setup and accounting of new products.
Acts as a key contact for various internal and external partners with the ability to communicate succinctly and interpret financial results in non-technical accounting terms to business leaders.
Recommend and implements process improvements identified in day-to-day work.
Research and resolves complex accounting and/or reporting issues, where some expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines and/or processes.
Work with various internal and external partners on cross-function processes or projects providing analytical and procedurally represent the team.
Develop in-depth knowledge of all financial accounting and reporting systems and demonstrate the ability and the desire to share the knowledge in the form of training to lower-level staff.
Assist in local outsourcing oversight, regular data gathering and reporting to Outsourcing Committee and maintenance of due diligence oversight in Coupa.
Knowledge and Skills:
Thorough business and technical accounting knowledge, acquired through 4-6 years of corporate or industry experience.
Experience in financial accounting and reporting and taxation.
Ability to meet strict deadlines by multi-tasking and prioritizing various assigned deliverables.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in leading or champion new corporate initiatives.
Requires attention to detail and solid documentation techniques.
Strong in excel / macro
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Accounting is required.
CPA certification strongly preferred.
