Job Title: Social Media and Content Specialist (Remote Individual Contractor Role)

About the Role: We’re seeking a skilled and creative Social Media and Content Specialist to join our remote team. In this freelance role, you’ll be responsible for producing engaging written and visual content across blogs, social media, websites, newsletters, and more. If you’re a versatile creator with strong writing, design, and strategic thinking skills, we want to hear from you. This is an opportunity to work independently while collaborating with a dynamic, fast-paced marketing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create compelling content for blogs, websites, newsletters, and social media
- Develop visual content including graphics, videos, and infographics
- Manage content calendars and ensure timely delivery across platforms
- Monitor and analyze content performance; optimize based on data
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to execute content strategies
- Conduct research to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and engaging
- Optimize content for SEO and audience engagement
- Engage with audiences via comments and social platforms
- Stay current on digital trends, tools, and best practices
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a content creator, copywriter, or similar role (Must have 2-3 years of relevant working experience supporting client’s contents and/or social media pages or websites)
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Basic graphic design and video editing skills (Photoshop, Canva, Premiere Pro, etc.)
- Familiarity with CMS and social media platforms
- Understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Self-starter comfortable working independently in a remote setting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights)
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and blogging tools
- Multimedia skills such as photography or podcasting
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
