Summary
We are seeking a Survey Aide to join our dynamic team at SMC SLEX Inc. This role is essential in supporting various administrative and operational tasks that contribute to the successful execution of our infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the preparation of survey sites by clearing vegetation, removing debris, and setting up survey markers.
- Help in measuring distances, angles, and elevations using surveying equipment and recording accurate data.
- Assist in locating property boundaries, corners, and other reference points on construction sites.
- Provide support in conducting topographic surveys, including mapping existing features and terrain.
- Assist in surveying for the layout and alignment of roads, buildings, utilities, and other construction projects.
- Collaborate with construction crews to ensure surveying activities align with project timelines and specifications.
- Maintain and care for surveying equipment, ensuring proper storage and calibration.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the surveyor or project manager to support construction activities.
Qualifications
- A college graduate of any course.
- Preferably with five (5) years of experience as a Survey Aide in a construction set-up.
- With a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
