Conducts initial review of relevant tax returns (Value-added Tax, Percentage Tax, Withholding Tax on Compensation, Expanded Withholding Tax, Income Tax, etc.) for filing/payment by assigned business units.
Monitors the following for companies handled:
Compliance on Tax Returns filing/payment and Information Returns submission.
Completeness of returns uploaded in the LTPMS.
Maintains an efficient directory of tax compliance records of companies handled, including copies of actual tax compliance submissions.
Prepares workbooks for pre-work in preparation for draft AFS reviews of companies handled.
Attends Draft AFS reviews.
Monitors the BIR website for news, advisories and issuances and notifies the Business Unit, supporting and consulting on latest publications/updates.
Assists in preparing schedules required by BIR examiners during their audits.
Processes registrations of business units.
Assists in handling relevant concerns/issues raised by Finance.
Processes applications for/renewal of Tax Clearance Certificate.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy/Accounting or its equivalent.
At least 5 years of experience in the field.
Knowledgeable in taxation, financial analysis, accounting principles, systems & procedures.
Proficiency in Accounting system(s) and/or MS Excel.
Required skills: time management, strong communication
Must be detail-oriented.
CPA license is an advantaged
