Atlas Copco Philippines Inc. is seeking a highly capable and experienced Tax Manager to join our Finance team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring full compliance with tax regulations while supporting strategic financial planning and risk management. The successful candidate will lead all tax-related activities, including BIR audits, VAT claims, and statutory reporting, and will serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on tax matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and oversee the submission of all tax filings, including income tax, VAT, and other statutory requirements.
- Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with business objectives and compliant with local tax laws.
- Manage tax audits and liaise with tax authorities, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Maintain and reconcile all tax-related accounts and documentation.
- Provide expert advice on the tax implications of business decisions, contracts, and transactions.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business, recommending necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Credit & Collection, Operations) to ensure tax compliance across all functions.
- Support the training and development of finance staff on tax-related processes and updates.
- Handle submission and management of local municipal taxes, head office and branch taxes, and other local tax obligations.
- Act as SEC filer for Audited Financial Statements (AFS), General Information Sheet (GIS), and other regulatory reporting requirements.
