What You Will Do
The Trade Activations Manager is responsible for trade execution excellence by leading the pre-commercialization of national promotion, merchandising campaigns activities and ensuring that Retail Environment (RE) activities are executed according to set standards aligned with franchise and company strategies. The team in partnership with Shopper Marketing, Commercial Excellence, Business Development Managers ensures compliance to internal and external guidelines of execution. The team ensures the clarity of execution targets and measures before it lands on field sales for execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Sufficiency Management
· Assess and ensure the sufficiency of national promotion resources & operational capabilities and capacities.
· Monitor and report on business sufficiency metrics, provide insights and report to commercial development LT highlighting successes and making recommendations for improvement.
1.1 Customer Management. Maintains and nurtures strong partnerships with internal customers through regular engagements with decision-makers, planning sessions, customer days, and other meetings as needed for seamless planning and pre-commercialization executions of national, franchise-led, and account-specific activities. Internally, aligns with business partners to mount promos and programs, address issues or develop process improvements that aid the smooth pre-commercial executions of planned initiatives to customers. Attends regular business rhythm meetings such as C+3, M+3, Mid-cycle, and Annual Business Reviews.
1.2 Brand & Business Development. Liaise with Shopper Marketing Managers, Supply Chain department, Business Development Managers, Commercial Excellence Team, and Customer Development Group Managers for the alignment of brand and account strategies such as promo and campaign availability, efficiency and sufficiency per sector as an input to planning for continuous development.
1.3 Resource Management. In coordination with Shopper Marketing Managers and Commercial Excellence team, works within budgets and ensures the appropriate allocation and disbursement of campaign/execution and ad hoc gap bridging activity funds, the evaluation of their use, and their utilization according to company policies.
1.4 Business Strategy & Planning. Utilizes customer/shopper understanding and insights to input and contribute to the creation of a long-range strategic channel plan and the annual business plan for the sectors. Ensures that all national and franchise-led initiatives are aligned to company and CD strategies. Regularly attends meetings to monitor progress and determine future courses of action.
2. Execution Excellence
· Business Development. Spots opportunities for Executions Team process improvement or business development and initiates projects to take advantage of them with identified risks and mitigations associated with trade activations.
· Agency Management. Leads and Manages PAs and Creatives in ensuring administrative tasks are done flawlessly as a pre-requisite to any activation execution. Works with suppliers and agencies for selected activities and campaigns to fulfill execution and other planned initiatives requirements. Engages Acabar Mancom to ensure seamless cascades of monthly business plans for promotions, national campaigns, and other admin related matters (special reports and audits).

What We Are Looking For
Key Qualifications
· At least eight years sales management experience in a fast-moving consumer goods company, with a minimum of two-year experience in a head office position (marketing, trade marketing or activations)
· Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
· Strong sense of accountability and responsibility
· High understanding of business situations / business acumen
· Organized and has the ability to move results forward with internal and external interacts
· A quick learner and is highly adaptable to change.
· Highly analytical, strategic thinking, and able to interpret insights and able to recommend solutions.
· Must be able to manage direct reports, as well as manage up
· Proficient communication skills, oral and written business correspondence, presentation, planning and delivery.
· Intermediate MS office capabilities: Excel, MS word, PowerPoint, PowerBI (additional)
· Experienced driver with a valid driver’s license and willing to travel and go on a fieldwork
