As a Trade Lifecycle Associate I within Client Instruction Capture (CIC) and Settlements, you are responsible for the operational management and control of the daily workflow and also work with Trades Processing and Fails Management Teams.
Job responsibilities:
- Manage the workflow through the life cycle of Custody Trades
- Process and validate trades, in accordance with the established work practices and procedures in CIC Trades
- Complete knowledge of trade lifecycle and role of custodian bank.
- Process FX Trades, knowledge of SWIFT MT54X message along with global market nuances is a must.
- Monitor and Manage trade capture, fails management and settlement activities. Address settlement discrepancies/issues and leverage escalation channels promptly
- Respond to queries relating to trade status and market practice
- Maximize team capacity through effective resource planning and ensure team structure is robust through effective training and succession planning
- Provide effective communications to the department, ensuring staff are aware of strategic and regulatory changes in the organization
- Review content and presentation of Standard Operating Procedures, in line with new policies and ongoing risk management activities Contribute to the strategic development of Custody products
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
Minimum of 4 years in Financial Services industry in custody & fund services, markets.
Possess understanding of Treasury v/s Agent (Off Book currency) FX’s
Strong Risk and Control Awareness: Ability to effectively prioritize workloads and work to critical deadlines
Excellent customer service skills and able to handle difficult situations internally and externally
Operational subject matter expertise in Reconciliation, Settlements, Fails Management, Trade Support, Risk and Control, and Custody
Strong ability to learn ongoing stream of new markets, products, and processes
Strong risk and control awareness, including the ability to effectively prioritize workloads and work to critical deadlines
Confident communicator in all mediums with both internal and external clients
Strategic thinker, ability to review and implement process improvements
Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Flexibility working on APAC and late APAC shift (as early as 6am to 11am start of shift)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferred
- Global Custody or Local Custody background
- Experience in driving projects and initiatives
- Familiarity with swift messages specifically MT54 series Capable of working under pressure and to cope with changing volumes, whilst maintaining accuracy and quality.
