Job Title: Trade Marketing Officer
The Trade Marketing Officer will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating trade marketing strategies to drive sales growth and brand visibility across retail and distribution channels. The role involves coordinating with sales teams, managing promotional activities, and analyzing market trends to optimize trade marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Development
- Develop and implement trade marketing strategies that align with overall business objectives.
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to increase product visibility and sales.
- Promotional Activities
- Plan and execute trade promotions, including in-store displays, merchandising, and events.
- Coordinate with sales teams to ensure effective implementation of promotional activities.
- Collaboration and Coordination
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align trade marketing activities with overall marketing strategies.
- Liaise with product development teams to ensure new products are effectively launched in the market.
- Market Analysis
- Conduct market research and analyze data to understand market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of trade marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Budget Management
- Manage trade marketing budgets and ensure all activities are cost-effective and within budget.
- Track expenses and optimize spending to maximize return on investment.
- Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners and distributors.
- Negotiate with retailers and distributors to secure the best placement and promotion for products.
- Reporting and Feedback
- Prepare regular reports on trade marketing activities and performance metrics.
- Provide insights and feedback to improve future trade marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in trade marketing, sales, or a related area.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret market data.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with marketing software tools.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
