Job Summary:
The Training Manager – Crew Training & Client Standards is responsible for leading the development and delivery of training programs tailored for service crew assigned to various client establishments in the food and beverage industry. This role ensures that all personnel are fully equipped to meet brand, operational, and food safety standards before deployment. The manager also oversees the standardization of onboarding processes, coordinates with client representatives, and ensures training alignment with client-specific protocols.
Key Responsibilities:Training Strategy & Execution:
- Develop, implement, and regularly update training modules for service crew roles including customer service, food safety, hygiene, cashiering, kitchen operations, and store protocols.
- Customize training programs to align with individual client brand standards.
- Lead onboarding sessions and pre-deployment orientations for new hires.
- Schedule and supervise regular refresher courses, upskilling, and certification trainings.
Client Standards Alignment:
- Coordinate with client brands to understand specific operational procedures and incorporate them into training content.
- Conduct joint sessions with clients when required to ensure shared understanding and expectations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of brand manuals, SOPs, and store protocols from clients.
Monitoring & Evaluation:
- Assess training effectiveness through evaluations, performance monitoring, and feedback from operations or clients.
- Track post-training performance and readiness of employees before deployment.
- Provide recommendations for re-training or interventions as needed.
Team Management & Collaboration:
- Supervise a team of training officers, facilitators, or OJTs assisting in sessions.
- Collaborate with recruitment, operations, and account managers to ensure timely and effective deployment.
- Support performance development initiatives and succession planning within the crew workforce.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Ensure all training records, attendance sheets, and certificates are properly documented and filed.
- Comply with regulatory standards related to food safety and labor training requirements (e.g., DOLE, sanitation certifications).
- Prepare training reports and dashboards for internal and client reference.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Education, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in training and development within the food service, quick service restaurant (QSR), or manpower industry.
- Experience in creating and delivering training programs for service crew or frontline staff.
- Familiarity with client-based training customization and food safety standards.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Leadership experience in managing a training team or coordinating with operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Training of Trainers (TOT) certification or equivalent.
- Food Safety or ServSafe certification.
- Experience in working with multiple food brands or fast-paced retail chains.
